This Spring at Petsi Pies...
Auntie Petsi’s Down Home Favorites |
| This spring, Petsi Pies is offering a very special homestyle Southern pie menu made from classic recipes that come from Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, and Trinidad. “I’ve been making these pies since I was a little kid, and now I’m making them for the people in my new big Northern ‘family’ of customers. These recipes are old, tattered, and passed down from all the women in my family: My grandmother Ruth who we call Nanny Shields, my McLeod grandmother who we call Ma Blunie, My Aunt Rosie, and my mom Donna Lee,” says Renee McLeod, owner of Petsi Pies.
Petsi Pies’ special spring menu includes:
- Chess Pie Buttermilk Pie
- Shoofly Pie
- Old Fashioned Sweet Potato Pie
- Brown Butter Pecan Pie
These pies will be made in one size only (10") and are available from Tuesday March 25 through May, after which Petsi will welcome the summer with stone fruits and berries. All of Auntie Petsi’s Down Home pies are $20.
